About Nancy Long
Nancy has created art most of her life. She earned a BA degree in Graphic Design and a post graduate degree in Art Education from Texas Tech University. She has developed art programs and taught art in public and private schools.
Her art journey has included clothing design, as well as painting in watercolor, acrylic and collage. Through the process of experimentation and practice her expressionistic style has emerged. Her painting process involves a “playfulness” with vivid color, pattern and visual texture that leads to her interpretation of her subject. In her current work, in order to add interest with pattern, she often includes monoprinted papers she has created.
STATEMENT: “My creative process with acrylic paint is a technical, visual, emotional and challenging adventure for me”.
